Climate Change: The Facts 12 November 2019
As part of the term's theme on climate change, we showed the widely-acclaimed film 'Climate Change: the Facts' presented by David Attenborough (BBC - available on Youtube). This was followed by discussion led by Chris Hope, member of St Paul's church and contributor to UN climate change reports
Climate Justice Summit 23-24 September 2019:
'Once in a Lifetime'

St Paul's Church was honoured to host this unique and remarkable gathering organised by Amos Trust and attended by over 100 including representatives of 12 organisations involved in climate activism. Several members of the St Pauls congregation attended and contributed.
Over 50 attended this event, presented by the Cambridge-based Christian social action group, the Jubilee Centre. Interns shared material from the Centre's new report on the theological, relational and ethical dimensions of food production and consumption and led a lively Q&A. Interns and St Paul's people prepared eco-friendly food and served fair-traded and organic refreshments. We'll be sharing further insights from the report with the congregation. Here's a 4-page summary.
Jonathan Chaplin, current Eco Church group chair, shared St Paul's Eco Church story at the launch of Ely Cathedral's environment group 'Renew', on 4th April 2019. Ely is working on the Eco Church Silver Award (but we doubt they'll be going for secondary glazing...).
